When you use the plot/tree tool in measurements tab you need to input a plot size for the tool to work. This general setting allows you to specify a default plot size/area. For example if you normally use plot sizes of 0.02 ha, then input 0.02 here and the plot/tree tool will automatically have set the plot area at 0.02 ha. You may alter this afterwards for each indidual measurement.
